Cookie policy
This platform uses very few cookies: the session ones, needed for it to work, and two counting cookies that are only set if you use the podcast or the downloads. Analytics sets none. And on the published site of a customer who connects third-party analytics there is one more: the one that remembers their decision.

Which cookies are used
Two session cookies (the access token and the refresh token). They are strictly necessary: without them a session cannot stay open. They are HttpOnly, so no script can read them, and SameSite, so they never travel to other sites.
Analytics sets no cookie at all, in any of its three modes. There was one, called cq_an_v, and it was removed along with the distinct-browser figure it fed.
If your Site has a podcast, downloading an episode sets a cookie called cq_listener; if it has downloadable resources, downloading one sets cq_reader. Both are HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, last one year, and are set by the server that serves the file, not by your site. Their only purpose is to avoid counting the same browser twice on the same day, and they are not set if your Site is on "Measure nothing".
And what is stored is not their value: it is a fingerprint computed with the day and with your Site, deleted the next day. So it cannot be reversed, it cannot follow anybody from one day to the next, and it cannot link your Site with another customer’s.
No advertising cookies. No third-party cookies.
What is stored in your browser without being a cookie
The theme you picked (light, dark or system), the language and which Site is active. They are interface preferences, they stay in your browser and they are not sent anywhere.
Why you do not see a cookie banner
Because measuring visits no longer sets one: Analytics counts without cookies in all three of its modes, so there is nothing to consent to for your site to work and be measured.
The two counting cookies of the podcast and the downloads honour your Site privacy control: on "Measure nothing" they are not set, and downloads are not counted either. In the other two modes they are set, and they still need no banner because they identify nobody and never leave your Site.
